What is a Pro/Am ? A Pro/Am competition is when an amateur dancer/student teams up with a professional dancer/instructor to compete against like partnerships. These competitions can be of 2 general types. 1) "non-choreographed" Social Style Lead and Follow competitions ; frequently called Strictly or Just Dance divisions or  2) choreographed Solo Spotlight Showcase routine performances. Strictly divisions usually dance to randomly drawn music . Where as, Solo Spotlight divisions are dancing to music of your choice.
